Official FSharp.Core NuGet Package

Cross-posted on the fsharp-opensource list.

Would it be possible for the Visual F# team to publish an official FSharp.Core (and possibly another package that included sigdata and optdata) NuGet package? The current, community-supported package, FSharp.Core.3, is a bit out of date.

This may also be a consideration for the FSSF since their FSharp.Core is potentially a better cross-platform. Honestly, it would be best to have only one of these, and then have all the tooling, templates, etc. leverage this "official" package.

The same could be said for the FSharp.Targets file and F# compiler.

It is on our radar to publish nuget packages for fsharp.core, but as with all things it takes time to set it up. I would however suggest that someone gives us a pull request to the open build for a mechanism for building and publishing nugets for F# and we will then consider wiring that in to our build.

I'd be happy to help out with something more automated once the official FSharp.Core makes it to GitHub. In the meanwhile, I can help consolidate the Microsoft signed packages to https://www.nuget.org/packages/FSharp.Core. I posted separately about this yesterday: https://github.com/fsharp/fsharp/issues/352
